DESCRIBE YOUR CAREER PATH

When I graduated I wanted to be in the field of study.  I moved to the DC metro area and worked as an environmental consultant for about 2 years.  I soon found out that working behind a desk wasn't for me.  I started working in sales where even though I was behind a desk, I was working with people.  I've been in sales ever since.  My husband, Josh Mason '09 Perdue graduate and I opened a food truck, Vittles last year and extended our skills we learned in school and in life.  It was his lifelong dream to open a business.

MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED WHILE ATTENDING SALISBURY UNIVERSITY

The most important lesson I learned at Salisbury would be the importance of relationships.  I have connections from all walks of life but my connections at SU have truly changed my present and future.  For Josh, he learned how to get closer to his dream and wanted to always be his own boss.

WHAT CAMPUS ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS WERE YOU INVOLVED WITH?

I was a peer leader with Algonquin and worked on campus.

BEST COLLEGE MEMORY

That would be meeting my husband and the friendships that have lasted and will last a lifetime.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SALISBURY UNIVERSITY?

Honestly, I chose Salisbury because they have a strong science department and it was close to the beach!

IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE SALISBURY UNIVERSITY IN THREE WORDS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WHY?

Unique - the town has a lot of amazing features that if you just look for you will find them.
Small - this isn't bad, it's just a small town where people know each other.  You can easily see people out that you know.
Fun - there are so many events and things to do in the area.

FAVORITE VACATION SPOT AND WHY?

Anywhere with sun and sand.  I haven't vacationed much because life is too busy but give me a beach and I'm happy.

GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT

Succeeding in a career that I didn't study for and starting a business with my husband, Josh.

WHAT IS SOMETHING PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU?

People might not know that I have lived in over 9 different states.

HOBBIES/OTHER INTERESTS

I enjoy crafting in my spare time.
