Lin Layton (Thater) '68

has been selected as one of the Top 100 Women in Maryland by the Daily Record legal news association.  This is the third time that Lin has been selected placing her in the Circle of Excellence.  Lin received this honor based on her legal career, her volunteerism and mentoring since her move to Talbot County in 1999.  Lin has served on the Board of Directors of CASA of Talbot County, serving as President of the Board for two years.  She was a co-founder of Senior Advocates of the MidShore and the Talbot County Commission of Aging serving as president of both organizations.  She also served as the president of TRIAD, a senior citizen crime prevention and victim assistance organization.  Lin served on the Board of Directors of the Londonderry Retirement Community, the Tidewater Camera Club and was a member of the Advisory Council for Upper Shore Aging.  Lin will retire from the practice of law in July and continue with her new career as a professional photographer.
